Benefits of rooting your Android device

Benefits Of Rooting Android Devices
Even though Android is known for its flexibility and customization, phone makers and carriers still manage to include a number of restrictions, skins and pre-loaded softwares that are completely unnecessary to you and are something you won't ever use. Here, in this article we will be discussion all the benefits of rooting Android devices.

Although there is nothing wrong with out-of-the-box experiences, more daring users who are tired of being at the mercy of the makers and carriers, push their Android devices to new limits and boundaries. Since the early days of the HTC Dream (T-Mobile G1), rooting has had a history of adding more functionality to the phone and often extending the life of the device. The HTC Dream for instance, officially supported Android 1.6 Donut, but the rooted device had alternative developer-made versions of the OS that offered most of the Android 2.2 Froyo's features.

So, what exactly is rooting and how can it be beneficial to you and your Android Device? Let me answer some of those questions and together know the benefits of rooting Android devices.

Rooting

Rooting is the process of hacking your Android device, so as to provide you with full administrator control of the device. Does that mean users do not have full control of their devices? Actually, no. The Android devices come pre-locked. That means a user typically does not have full control of their devices. This however, can be remedied by rooting your Android device. In reality, rooting bypasses carrier or handset-maker limitations or restrictions. Once you have achieved "root access" then you can remove or alter pre-loaded applications and system settings or run specialized applications.

One of the other reasons to root your device is to replace the operating system with a ROM, which is a developer version of the OS, giving you more control over details. In rooting culture, we call that "flashing a custom ROM". The process of rooting an Android device, usually varies from one to one, but the process has been more streamlined over the years. Google's Nexus line of devices, especially the LG-made Nexus 4, is a hot favorite with developers and techie types, and has become the most often rooted model. However, you will also find plenty of custom ROMs for popular devices like the Samsung S4 and the HTC One. Remember that rooting would render the warranty void; flashing a stock ROM can however revert your device to its original state.

Benefits of Rooting

Rooting your device has many advantages, some more obvious than others. One of the benefits you will achieve is the capability to remove any unwanted pre-loaded apps or games, installed onto your device by your carrier or handset maker even before you un wrap your device. Rather than simply disabling the bloat ware title, often the most you can do with stock Android OS, rooting will let completely uninstall or delete these apps.

Rooting will also enable you to receive faster updates for your devices. The process of receiving the updates via your carrier or handset makers, after Google release it can take weeks or even months. With a rooted device, you will receive updates much faster.
