BlackBerry Q10 getting strong sales in UK, Canada: Analyst

BlackBerry Q10 yesterday passed the Pentagon authorization and now report comes the handset is selling well in the U.K. and Canada market. Well, it is really a good news for all the old fans of BlackBerry who once believed the brand is a status symbol and found texting as well as emailing very easy with its QWERTY keyboard.

BlackBerry Q10 runs on the latest BlackBerry 10 operating system. In the latest OS lineup this smartphone is the first to have a physical QWERTY keypad.

BlackBerry 10 gets U.S. Department of Defense approval

If Pentagon says BlackBerry 10-based smartphones and tablets are perfect to use from security point of view then I guess more and more people will now come ahead to take home BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry Q10 and PlayBook devices. Isn't it?

On Thursday the U.S. Department of Defense has approved the BlackBerry devices run on BlackBerry 10 operating system. Apple and Samsung are waiting for such authorization and it is learned in few weeks they too will get the security approval for their i0S and Android-based smartphones and tablets.

Review: BlackBerry 10 mobile OS; RIM's latest venture

This may be the last best weapon for Research in Motion (RIM) to regain its lost battle in the global mobile market. The just released BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system has its own pros and cons.

It is learned the BlackBerry 10 has one of the best gesture based user interface in the industry. It is a perfect in multitasking with impressive keyboard, good security features, strong device management and useful BlackBerry Hub.

Like other OS in infant stage, the BlackBerry 10 OS too got some drawbacks. There are number of bugs that need to be fixed by RIM. The maps app is not up to the mark and it does not match with rival platforms.

This is the first time RIM has quit its signature QWERTY real keypad. With the release of BlackBerry 10 OS, the company also launched BlackBerry Z10 handset with no physical keypad. RIM claims the new OS has tracking feature in its virtual keyboard and remembers what words user types in common and it suggests the next word while one is typing.
