The new PS4 has a supercharged PC architecture equipped with X86 CPU and enhanced PC GPU having GDDR5. The details of the GPU has not yet been specified by the gaming giant.
The console comes with 8GB of memory, traditional hard-drive storage, DualShock 4 controller, enhanced rumble, share button, light-up bar, touch pad, headphone jack and a stereo camera bar like Kinect.
Sony emphasized about the simplicity of the console and easy to use. A secondary custom chip is used to allow background downloading so that games can be played amid the downloading is in process.
The PlayStation 4 can also scan gameplay of last few minutes with just a single push of a button and the screenshots can be shared on social networks with others. Friend making will also be revamped, promises the gaming giant.
Apart from all these, Sony also announced PS4 will enable remote play and stuff PC gamers will love it. This is the first time, claims the company, a home gaming console has entered such an advanced territory.
