Dubbed as iOS 6.1.1, the update is available free and according to Apple it will fix up an issue that impact cellular performance and reliability of the iDevice.
The update is only made available to the iPhone 4S device. The iPhone 5 and recent iPads need to wait for sometime to get the update.
iOS 6.1 was released on January 28 and brought 4G LTE support to give the freedom to owners of iDevices to choose more carriers. The new mobile operating system also brought features like movie tickets purchasing after finding showtimes using Siri. iTunes Match subscribers also benefited from the OS to be able to download individual songs from iCloud.
Other changes with iOS 6.1 are tweaks to Safari browser, new boarding pass behavior in Passbook, music playback controls reworked from lock screen and also few back end changes in the mapping software.
Apart from all these features there were few bugs noticed. Even carriers like Vodafone suggested its subscribers not to update their iDevices with iOS 6.1. It caused difficulty in network connecting and sometimes even with calls and texting.
