Microsoft to make next Windows Phone update in holiday shopping season

Microsoft is now tight-lipped with its next Windows Phone 8 update but it is expected the company is waiting for the holiday shopping season.

Late last week Microsoft had taken out a job posting in need of a software development engineer for the work profile of phone testing.

The ad post read, "This is a great time to join as we're completing our current release [and] are getting ready for our next release targeting the holiday of this year and we're chartered with keeping the momentum for Windows Phone by bringing new killer devices and delightful user experiences... There are enormous growth opportunities in this role and organization."

The post does not offer any clue to what new features the software giant is talking about to come with at the year-end, but it is referring to one of the exciting challenges of the company in its Windows Phone.

The Windows Phone as of now has not seen any good sign to catch the OS market speedily as most of the mobile users still love to go with Android devices and iPhones. In such tough time the Windows Phone is surely the key to the mobile strategy of Microsoft and also that of Bing's mobile market share.
