It's named Xbox One. Microsoft promises LIVE TV a part of it

The press conference of Microsoft is underway at its headquarters. The next-generation Xbox has been unveiled and it is named as Xbox One. The pricing part has not been revealed by the software giant, but it said the Xbox One will hit the stores later this year.

Xbox One is large, sleek, black and have close resemblance to a piece of AV equipment. It is equipped with eight-core processor, 8GB of RAM, Blue-ray, HDMI in/out, USB 3, and a 500 GB hard drive. It's architecture has three operating systems in one.


The new Kinect accompanied with the Xbox One is now much improved in terms of accuracy. It has 1080p camera as well as Skype connectivity. The Kinect can even read heartbeat, says Microsoft.

Tablet-based SmartGlass experience is integrated in the new Xbox One and Xbox Live now promises 300,000 servers for the console.

In the first year of the Xbox One Microsoft plans of 8 new franchises. Meanwhile, four new titles have been added - FIFA 14, NBA Live, UFC and Madden.
