Samsung Galaxy S4 vs Apple's iPhone 5
The Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5 are the two flagship smartphones from the stables of Samsung and Apple respectively. Both the phones are equipped with their own good features and both have received warm welcome globally. Let us find out some of the similarities and differences between the two phones.

Dimension and Weight

The Samsung Galaxy S4 measures 5.38 x 2.75 x 0.31 inches (136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm) where as the Apple's iPhone 5 measures 4.87 x 2.31 x 0.30 inches (123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm). S4 weighs 130 grams and iPhone 5 weighs 112 grams.


Operating System

The Galaxy S4 comes out of the box with the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and the Apple's iPhone 5 runs on iOS 6.1.6.

Screen

The Galaxy S4 sports 4.99-inch screen with pixel density of 441ppi where as the Apple's iPhone 5 comes with 4-inch screen and has pixel density of just 326ppi.

Samsung has used Super AMOLED display in its Galaxy S4 and it offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Apple has used Retina LCD display in its iPhone 5 and it provides a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels.

Storage

The Galaxy S4 as well as iPhone 5 comes with internal storage of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The S4 facilitates expansion of memory up to 64GB via microSD card, but the iPhone 5 does not allows so.

Processor

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is powered by Exynos 5 Octa - 1.6-1.8GHz quad core ARM Cortex and 1.2GHz quad core Cortex-A7 processor. The iPhone 5 is powered by Apple's own A6 CPU.

Battery

The Galaxy S4 is fueled by 2600mAh battery where as the iPhone 5 comes with 1440mAh battery.

Camera

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S4 with 13MP primary and 2MP secondary cameras. Apple on the other hand has mounted its iPhone 5 with 8MP primary and 1.2MP secondary cameras.
