Get ready for Microsoft's next Xbox. Unveiling today at 10 a.m. PT

The Microsoft headquarters will be holding today, just little while later, special next-generation Xbox event. The software giant will be probably unveiling the console and give full dose of information related to features, specifications, price, release date and other details.

The press conference will kick off at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on May 21, Tuesday and we will come up with a brief report about the event.

Earlier it was widely rumored Microsoft's this new console will be equipped with a kind of non-gaming entertainment features and it will focus more on streaming video, Skype calling and other deeper integration with other services and other devices.

Remember, Microsoft acquired Skype about two years ago and since then the company have been weaving the communication technology into its other products. Xbox will be having too much potentiality with Skype as gamers can now video chat with others during a game. Also, the console will open the door for easy video conferencing in living rooms of users even during non-gaming hours.

It will be nice if Microsoft offers free calls to phones in its Xbox Live Gold service. The new console will be more appealing then.

It has also been widely questioned for quite some time whether the new Xbox will require constant Web connectivity. Many gamers complain this will thwart piracy at their expense. Let's see what Microsoft reveals today about this.

We have seen Xbox 360 lets users connect Amazon Prime Instant Video, Hulu, Netflix and few others. Also, Microsoft had partnered with Major League Baseball, the UFC for pay-per-view fights. It is now rumored the next-gen Xbox will offer Internet TV.
