Microsoft unveiled yesterday its much awaited next-generation Xbox console dubbed as Xbox One at its headquarters in Redmond, Washington. Not much has been talked about it.
It is also learned Sony's PlayStation 4 is just around the corner. It may be released later this year.
Let us compare the two great consoles that have not hit the stores.
It is speculated the PlayStation 4 to have 8GB GDDR5 RAM and Microsoft announced the Xbox One will come with 8GB of DDR3 RAM.
The GPU of PlayStation 4 may have up to 50 percent more raw graphical computational power than Xbox One, says Richard Leadbetter at Digital Foundry. Games will be much prettier on it.
PlayStation 4 will be relying on the Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR to connect to its controller, but Xbox One will be using Wi-Fi Direct to do so. Here the Xbox One gains on the speed which is theoretically 250Mbps where as that of Bluetooth is 3Mbps.
