Connectivity
Both the phones support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP.
Camera
HTC Butterfly features 8MP rear camera with auto focus, BSI Sensor and f/2.0 with 1080p video recording. It is also equipped with 2.1MP front camera. Apple's iPhone 5 too is equipped with 8MP rear camera and features simultaneous HD video and image recording, touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection, panorama and HDR. At the front end the phone is mounted with 1.2MP camera.
Memory
HTC Butterfly comes with just 16GB on-board storage version where as the iPhone 5 has three models - 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. However, the HTC Butterfly facilitates memory expansion via microSD card, but Apple does not allow so in its iPhone 5.
Battery
HTC Butterfly comes with 2020 mAh li-polymer battery where as Apple has packed its iPhone 5 with 1440 mAh li-polymer battery. Well, Apple claims the battery to give 225 hours of standby time. Also, the big size and higher resolution of HTC Butterfly screen consumes more battery.
