Is T-Mobile bringing change in mobile industry with SIM-free service?

This is the biggest question sensitive consumers asking or trying to find out after T-Mobile's announcement of offering Apple's iPhone 5 SIM-free, which is under contract free service. What you suggest?

Let us find out.

Few analysts suggest even if the new no-contracts and no-subsidy plans from T-Mobile seems to bring change in the mobile industry but it won't be fast. The reason behind the slow pace is the technical challenges to make the handset true interoperability.

More to this, education to consumers is required to help them know the benefit of no-contract and no-subsidy model.

AnandTech.com CEO and editor in chief said that we are very close to the market where we can take our handset to any carrier. He added that T-Mobile's no-contract, no-subsidy plan is just a glimpse of the future mobile-carrier market. There are some hurdles in the wireless market still because powerful forces still dominate the market.

As of now about 70 percent of the market is dominated by Verizon Wireless and AT&T because consumers have faith on their reliable services. The two provides fast and ubiquitous networks. Also, the two offers the most popular devices like that of Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5.
